PKMNation My New Brother

Wind whizzing, leaves flying by, the scenery changing every second. This was Legend’s run. He runs everyday, raising speed ten-fold. After his run, he would go train with Link, his adoptive father. “This is the life!” Legend said, tongue flapping. Legend ran past the lake with all the water types. Past the Eclipsed Grounds Library. Sped through the forest. And then, “Yeah!!” Legend ran with all his might through the hills. These hills with tall grass, all the residents at the ranch, and it’s open. Well with all this running he made his own pathways that all the pokemon avoid as to not get run over by Legend. Today however, the trainer Tasia has adopted new pokemon and Legend hasn’t met them yet. Legend was sprinting towards the Library again. Tasia just got new pokemon,Legend thought, maybe some of them will like to run too! Poor Legend, with all the pokemon here he doesn’t have a running buddy. Link will run with him from time to time, but he’s usually busy with the other pokemon. “There are new pokemon coming today.” Link told Legend that morning. “When I was with Tasia, there was this poochyena who smelled of anger. I don’t know what he looks like, but the way he growled at Tasia had her head over heels. I swear she’s going to get hurt one day. That dog could be good friends with you.” “Okay pops, I’ll go talk to him!” “But be careful, Legend. He’s a fighter and seems pretty stubborn on being alone.” Legend ran off not hearing Link’s last comment.
Legend ran, and ran. He was so excited to meet this new member. When Legend got to the Library again, he immediately began to look for this feral poochyena. Tasia saw Legend and picked him up. Legend wagged his tail and started to lick his trainer’s face. “Are you looking for someone?” Legend nodded. “A new friend?” Legend nodded fiercely. “Well, they’ll be walking in and I’m going to start naming them. If you wait here and greet them, I’ll give them their names. Ok?” Legend’s eyes twinkled. Tasia put him down and opened the first kennel.
The first to come out was a black eevee and a yamask. Both came from the same breeder, so they traveled in the same kennel. Legend started to jump around, he was ecstatic to meet the new residents. “Hi, I’m Legend! Welcome to Eclipsed Grounds!” Both the eevee and yamask smiled shyly. Tasia pet them both, she said, “You will be named Delirium (eevee). And your name will be The Time Traveler’s Wife. Next were a grumpy fairy hoppip, a Eevee/Furfrou, two ghastly crosses, and a shuppet. In order she proceeded to name them.
“Pride and Prejudice, Half Bad, The Davinci Code, Into Thin Air, and you will be The Ghosts of Onyx. Crest, can you show them around?” A tall Umbreon appeared, his silver collar shimmering in the light. He bowed, smiled, and motioned for the new pokemon to follow.
Legend’s hope died down. His tail stopped wagging and he began to cry. “Why are you crying Legend? There is one more.” She smiled at him, “He is a feisty one.” Legend looked at her, then the other kennels. There was one that was made out of wood, it kept shaking. How did I not notice that? Legend pried at the box. “Back off!” Legend backed up in surprise, this pokemon was really angry. Tasia walked up to the wooden crate, and opened it. The pokemon inside quickly jumped at her snarling with beautiful white fangs. Legend tackled it to the ground and barked. “Don’t touch her!” He looked at the raging pokemon, it was a poochyena. His ears perked. “Hey, your that pokemon dad was telling me about!” Tasia loved what was happening, she giggled. “Fantastic! You two are going to be great friends! Legend, take him err- you don’t have a name yet. Aha! Your name shall be Call of the Wild. Take Wild to meet Link, he can keep him in check.” Legend grabbed Wild by the scruff of the neck and with all his might. Began to run towards the hills, where Link trains. “Put me down stupid mutt!” Wild kept struggling, How is this guy carrying me? We’re the same size! Ignoring the complaints, Legend hurried over to Link. Link heard Legend’s footsteps and called out. “Legend, you found him!” Legend plopped the poochyena onto Links paws. “Dad can he be my brother?”
Link let out his booming laugh. “HA, HA, HA! Of course Legend! On one condition.”
“A condition? What condition?”
Wild glared at both electric types. “What about my opinion?”
Link continued, “He must last in a battle with me for 5 minutes.”
Wild’s ears perked. “A battle? I can last 10 minutes. You would last 1.”
“Now that’s the spirit! Legend clear out this grass.”
Legend concentrated and let out a beautiful glow, then it began to crackle. He released an electric wave that burned all the grass in a 25 meter radius. “On my spark….( there was a moment of silence) Battle!
Wild rushed into battle. He tried going for Link’s paws and Link jumped up then came down crushing Wild under his weight.  Wild fell and hit the ground hard, it seemed that he was finished. Wild got up and went for another attack, he lunged. Link waited for an attack from the front when he suddenly heard Wild’s breathing behind him. Link barely dodged Wild’s hit. 2 Minutes. Link pinned down Wild and let out a deafening roar. Link let go and Wild began to totter. His ears were ringing, his balance was wavering. Wild was near the edge of the grass, if he fell in he would lose. With each wobbly step he tried to attack at Link again. Link simply whipped his tail and knocked down Wild again. 4 Minutes. Legend began to worry, “Come on Wild one more minute!” Wild couldn’t keep balance. Link then picked up the poochyena and threw him in the grass. Wild had lost, with one more minute to spare. Legend ran to Wild trying to help him up. “You did good Wild, I couldn’t beat him either.” Wild looked at him puzzled. “Then why did he adopt you?” Legend smiled. “Link told me that I had spirit.” “That’s right.” Link walked up to the canines on the ground. And on closer inspection, Wild realized that the pokemon that beat him was blind. “And you have spirit too, you lasted a whole 4 minutes. You even tried to attack when you had no advantage whatsoever.” Wild didn’t know how to react. These two were treating him as if they were family. Even his siblings looked at him in fear. The trainer who adopted him wasn’t afraid when she saw him. Link bowed down, “We are your family now.”
